Unlike previous From Software games, Sekiro had no multiplayer features at launch, much to the chagrin of players who relied on friends to help out with bosses or created complex PvP fight clubs in Dark Souls and Bloodborne. The new mod gives Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice players the opportunity to demonstrate their skills or call for help in difficult battles, adding a multiplayer online game to the previous single player game, similar only to Soulslike. The Sekiro Online mod provides unofficial multiplayer support for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, allowing players to fight each other and play a game in a co-op.
